Half Moon Bay
in a Kia Sorento

I went home to the Bay Area over the holidays and Lauren from DriveShop was nice enough to send over a car for me to test drive while I was home. I received a Kia Sorento when I landed at SFO. I didn’t realize how large of a SUV the Kia is. There was so so much trunk space! I was astounded by how much room there was.
If you are a soccer mom with a ton of kids and make a ton of trips to Costco, this is the car for you! Because of its size, I really appreciated the backup cameras and the front cameras the car had.
I cruised around the Bay Area with the Sorento. That week, I took it on errands, to SoulCycle, to dinner with my family and to Half Moon Bay. If anybody has ever driven to Half Moon Bay, they know that you have to drive through a mountain to get to the other side. This car was great for the twists and turns on the highway. I drove over to the Lighthouse where my friend and his (now ex) wife had taken me to when I shot their engagement photos over a year ago.
Other features that I loved was the built in bluetooth (so you can play your own music!) and the built in navigation system. I don’t normally tend to get lost while I’m home, but its helpful to have the built in navigation talk to you with directions to get somewhere. I used the bluetooth calling feature to talk to my dad, but it was difficult to have a conversation while driving (he couldn’t hear me even when I was yelling back at him).
